"The instructions are so clear and easy to follow — even as a beginner I never felt lost. Easily the best patterns I've bought."
"Downloaded instantly, printed at home with zero hassle, and the fit was spot on. I've already bought three more."
"Every Stitchwell pattern I've made has come out beautifully. Clear steps, great sizing, and they actually hold your hand the whole way."
Nine sizes, from newborn to four years, in one pattern.
You buy it once and you sew it for the next four years — the same overalls in 6M for your own baby, in 2Y when they have grown out of them, and in 12M for the next baby shower you are invited to. That is what the size range is really for.
The overalls themselves are simple and practical: a bib with a patch pocket, straps that adjust as the child grows, an elastic back waist that gives room without a fitting, and buttoned openings at each side so they go on and off over a nappy without a fight.

📐 And You Get the Finished Measurements
This is worth its own line, because most baby patterns do not give it.
Alongside the body measurements, the pattern includes a full table of finished garment measurements for every size: waist, hip, thigh, full length, front rise, back rise, inseam, strap length and elastic length.
That means you are not guessing. You can measure a garment your child already wears and compare it directly, before you cut anything — which is how you avoid making a beautiful pair of overalls that turn out to be for next summer.

🧶 Fabric Recommendations
French terry · linen · cotton twill · chambray · lightweight denim · corduroy · cotton blends
A word on prints: checks, stripes and corduroy all need extra fabric. Checks and stripes have to line up across the bib, the straps and the side seams, and corduroy has a nap that means every piece must be cut facing the same way. If you are using any of them, buy 20–30% more than the yield chart states — the chart is calculated for a plain, non-directional fabric.

📊 Skill Level — Confident Beginner
Straight seams, a patch pocket, a simple elastic casing, and no fitting to worry about — a relaxed garment on a child forgives a great deal.
The two things that ask for a little care are the buttonholes on the straps and side openings, and threading the elastic evenly. Neither is difficult, but if you have never made a buttonhole, make two on a scrap first — it takes five minutes and it is the difference between straps that look bought and straps that look homemade.
If you have sewn a simple garment before, this is a very good next project. It is small, it is quick, and every technique in it transfers.
