There is exactly one difficult thing in this bag, and it is the thing that makes it look bought.
Setting a zip into a curve. Anyone can sew a zip along a straight edge ā the fabric behaves, the seam lies flat. Put that same zip along the curved top of a crescent and the outer edge is longer than the inner one, and the whole thing wants to pucker. That pucker is the difference between a bag that looks handmade and a bag that looks made.
The instructions take you through it step by step, with illustrations. And once you can set a zip into a curve, you can do it on anything you sew afterwards. āØ

Bag pieces are large curved shapes, and large curved shapes tile badly across A4 pages ā you end up taping a dozen sheets together and lining up a curve across four seams, which is exactly where the shape goes wrong.
Take the A0 file to a copy shop and there is nothing to tape. One sheet, one curve, cut and go. On a pattern like this it is worth the few euros it costs.

Plus light to medium weight fusible interfacing. Do not skip it ā it is what makes the bag hold its crescent shape instead of collapsing into a soft pouch. A canvas with body and a good interfacing behind it is the difference between a bag that stands and one that flops.
