Reversible Fabric Crown — PDF Sewing Pattern
A soft fabric crown with two faces, one in each fabric, that ties at the back and adjusts to fit children from about two to seven years old. Fully lined, machine washable, and it folds flat into a bag.
Why it looks harder than it is
It is one seam. Two pieces of fabric are stitched right sides together all the way round, turned out, pressed, and topstitched. That is the whole project. No elastic to thread, no closure to fit, no lining to insert separately — the lining is the second side.
And because it ties at the back, there is nothing to measure. It fits the child it is made for, and it still fits three years later.
Two crowns in one
The crown is fully reversible. Turn it inside out and it is the other fabric. One project, two crowns — one for the party and one for the photos, or one for each child.

Details
Fits children aged about 2 to 7, adjusted by the ties at the back. Fully lined and reversible. Seam allowance already included. No overlocker needed — the raw edges are enclosed between the two layers.

Confident beginner. Straight seams and five pivots at the points.

- Tie the crown with a simple bow at the back and keep the tie ends short enough that they cannot be pulled around the neck or caught.
- Check the stitching at the ties from time to time, since this is where a child pulls.
- This is a dress-up accessory, not a toy. A child wearing it should be supervised, and it should be taken off for sleep and for active play.
