Every pattern says beginner friendly. Here is the part that actually makes it true.
The files are layered, which means you print your size and only your size. No sheet covered in nine sets of overlapping lines, no tracing, no counting dashes to work out which one is the 3Y. You open the file, switch on the size you need, and print a clean outline. If you have ever cut the wrong line on a PDF pattern — and most people have, once — that is the thing this removes.
The garment itself is as straightforward as a garment gets. No zip. No sleeves to set in. No fitted waist. A bib, two straps, two buttons, straight side seams and turn-up cuffs. The one real skill it asks for is a buttonhole, and there are only two of them.
Nine sizes take it from a baby who has just started sitting up to a ten-year-old, so the file outlasts the child. Sew it again for the next one, or two at once in different sizes.
