What the garment is
The body, the sleeves and the hood are all made from the same pieced and quilted patchwork. There is no closure — the jacket is worn open, over a jumper or a shirt. Every edge, including the hood opening and the cuffs, is finished with a narrow binding, so there are no hems to turn and no facings to fit.
