Quilted Curved Tote — PDF Sewing Pattern

A quilted tote with one long curved seam across each face, a narrow base that flares to a wide open top, and two tall fabric handles. Finished size 32 cm high × 37 cm wide × [ ] cm deep (12.6" × 14.6" × [ ]").

Why it looks harder than it is No overlocker. No serger. No seam finishing of any kind. The bag is fully lined, so every raw edge ends up enclosed between the outer and the lining — you never have to neaten a single seam allowance. The curved panel is not shaped on the bag; it is one curved seam sewn flat, on two flat pieces, before the bag exists. The quilting is straight parallel lines from top to bottom, sewn flat on the panel, with no marking to trace and no pattern to follow.

Materials

  • Pins or clips, fabric marker or chalk, scissors, iron

Recommended fabrics Medium-weight wovens with body: cotton canvas, twill, quilting cotton with a fusible fleece behind it, or lightweight denim. Two contrasting fabrics work best — one solid and one print — so the curved seam reads clearly.

Questions makers ask

Do I need a special printer?
Nope! Every pattern is tiled to print on a regular home printer using standard A4 or US Letter paper — just tape the pages together and you're ready to cut. Prefer no taping? Each pattern also includes a large-format A0 file you can send to a copy shop, plus a projector file if you sew with one.
I'm a complete beginner — can I do this?
Absolutely. Our patterns are designed to be beginner-friendly, with clear, illustrated step-by-step instructions that guide you through the whole process. Thousands of first-time makers have sewn our patterns with no prior experience.
How do I get my pattern after I buy?
Instantly. The moment your payment is confirmed, your files are ready to download — and we'll also email you a download link so you always have access. No waiting, no shipping.
Can I sell what I make?
Yes! You're welcome to sell finished items you make from our patterns. We just ask that you don't share, resell, or redistribute the pattern files themselves.
What sizes are included?
Each pattern comes with a full size range and a detailed size chart so you can pick your perfect fit before you start. All sizes are layered in the file, so you only print the size you need.
What if I get stuck?
