A crossover wrap top with wide elbow-length sleeves and a side tie. Woven fabric, no stretch. Eight sizes, bust 32" to 50".

Why it looks harder than it is There is no sleeve to set in. The sleeve is cut in one piece with the body, so the shoulder and the underarm are a single continuous seam that you sew flat. Setting a sleeve into an armhole is the step that stops most people from finishing a top, and this pattern does not contain it. Apart from that seam you have straight side seams, narrow turned hems, and two fabric tubes for the ties. No zip, no buttons, no buttonholes, no closure of any kind.

Fabric Drafted for wovens with no stretch: linen, washed linen blends, cotton lawn, rayon challis, double gauze. Yardage: 1.5 yd at 45" wide, or 1 yd at 60" wide, for sizes XS to L. Add 0.5 yd for XL to 3X.

You will also need Matching thread, a universal machine needle, pins or clips, fabric scissors, a tape measure and an iron. A loop turner makes the ties faster, but a safety pin does the same job.

Skill level Beginner friendly. Straight seams, one partial seam at the neckline, and two simple fabric tubes.

Questions people ask Can I lengthen it into a dress? Yes. Extend the side seams and the front and back hems by the same amount. The wrap still closes at the same point. Are seam allowances included?
